JULIA ROBERTS I took up painting when I retired 15 years ago. I always paint subjectsclose to my heart, which helps to express the essence of the subject. For my flower paintings, I grow my own flowers, photograph them in the early morning and then paint them in watercolour. This gives me an intimateconnection with the subjects.
